Subject: Good news/Bad news on

I was surfing around at Amazon.com last night, looking to see if any new "XF" books are available. Got some good news and some bad news.
First, for those of you who aren't familiar with the published world of "XF" fiction, there are basically two kinds. There are stand-alone novels for adults, written by Sci-Fi writers like Kevin Anderson or Ben Mezrich. Then there are "novelizations" of eps of the show, aimed at the 11-14 year-old audience.
Good news is that there will be several new "young adult" novelizations. I actually like these okay. They mostly focus on eps from the first three seasons and give a bit more insight into what Mulder and Scully were thinking during each ep.
Bad news is that there will, apparently, be no more of the really good full-length, aimed-at-adults, "XF" novels anytime in the near future. None were listed.
I don't know why this is. Best idea I can think of is that it's just another example of CC wanting to devote less time to the "XF" universe and more time to other projects. (i.e. his desire to spend more time devloping new TV series and movies versus his lukewarm enthusiasm for producing a second "X-Files" movie.)
