Hi bwreck,

I'll try to explain this without spoiling the movie because it's considered a very famous spoiler! The "rosebud" reference comes from the classic film "Citizen Cane".

Orson Wells says the word as he is lying on his deathbed (so that was the joke with Grace saying it in Return to Me because she was joking about dying). It is his last word and no one knows what it means. The rest of the film is told in flashback and we don't find out until the very end exactly what "rosebud" means! (I won't tell ya! ;-) ) Hopefully you can get a chance to see the film. It's arguable but many people feel it's the greatest movie ever made. I think it came in first on that TV special where they asked a bunch of movie actors, directors etc. to pick the 100 greatest films.

I noticed the Big Mike thing too! When I heard it in the movie I wondered if DD remembered it from Arcadia but then I figured he probably didn't.
