Subject: I can barely remember this episode!

If I had any time I'd go back and watch it. I taped last Sunday's episode because I was working and I still haven't had time to watch it (which is why no one has seen me at the S9 board lately!).

The one thing that I remember from this episode is the way Doggett really seemed to be a by the book, upstanding agent. In that way he reminded me of Scully, even as she had trouble believing that he was actually trying to help her. We haven't had too many people like that in the series. Skinner has had his moments of shadiness, and Mulder, while always a good guy, certainly didn't play by the rules. Scully, at least back before Mulder corrupted her ;), started out as someone who wanted to find the answers and do it the right way, someone who didn't know about the lies within the government and the FBI. Doggett reminds me a bit of that, and it made me like him.

Another thing that made me like Doggett was how he realized that he didn't know it all. I can't remember if Skinner offered him help or if Doggett asked for it, but I do remember that he listened to him and understood that he didn't know everything. It was refreshing to see a man who knows he doesn't know everything :)
