Subject: I just finished "reading"

a book called "The Blessing Way" by Tony Hillerman. Guess what--there was a term used in there 'hostein' used to describe a boy or young man who had gone through a ritual of some sort--a rite into adulthood I thought. Anyhow, it was a murder mystery set in the Navaho reservation and in the canyons where the Anasazzi (sp?) ruins are.

There was a main character who was resourceful (very resourceful),a local Navaho police officer who was very methodical and came in the nick of time, and a smart, resourceful young woman who had been engaged but was making a decision on that subject. Some high tech stuff at the heart of this all and lots and lots of canyons!

Good listening ("reading" for me in my car!)
