Subject: "Fearful Symetery" and "Dod Kalm"

"Fearful Symetery", while kind of eerie, isn't as scary as most season two XF eps. Enraged animals running amok and wreaking havoc is more like something out of "Tarzan" than what we normally expect from XF. One question that was never answered -- or really even asked -- in this ep was: okay, say we accept Mulder's premise that the animals are being abducted by aliens, having their embryos harvested and then being returned to not *quite* the same place where the aliens picked them up. . .that still doesn't explain why the animals were invisible for the first few minutes after their return. Human "abductees" never seem to be invisible upon return.
"Dod Kalm" was an okay ep. It probably came across as a lot more innovative when it first aired. Watching it in retrospect, it's hard not to compare it to the similarly-themed, but much better, "Triangle" from season six. Also, the "enraged pirate killer" simply seems to disappear from the ship after he persuaded the other sailor to untie him. . .we never saw him or his body again in the rest of the ep.
