Generally I like to keep this board within the first seven seasons only. You didn't say too much though. ;-) But I'll keep my post from a Season 7 finale persective.

I looked through the book and in particular the "all trhings" ep in case there was anything interesting about that ep there especially and I guess I missed the bit about Daniel! While it makes Scully seem more "moral" it also might be a bad thing. I think GA wanted Scully to have some flaws and wanted her to have had an affair with this guy. I wonder if GA found out about these added lines and was annoyed at CC. Once again CC wants Scully portrayed as this pure, perfect being. What's worrysome is that, if he feels this way could he still be promoting the Scully=Virgin Mary idea? The main argument against the immaculate conception idea is that Scully has had relationships with Daniel, Ed Jerse and Jack Willis. Ed Jerse has always been debatable but Daniel seemed pretty clear in most fan's minds and now CC wanted to discount Daniel too. I suppose if he was asked he'd say that Scully and Jack were only just friends! I don't care if Scully had affairs with any of these men or if she didn't. I don't judge her personal life. ;-) I just don't like how it affects the baby storyline. Hearing that he originally wanted there to be no affair with Daniel adds more support to the Mary theory. I'm glad it was taken out. CC probably was outvoted.
