of her own actions when she went into Padgett's apartment in "Milagro", any more than Mulder wasn completely in control of *his* own actions when he ended up on the motel bed with Detective White in "Syzgerny" (or whatever that ep was called; from season three, I think). In both cases, the atmosphere of the show suggested that they were, to a certain extent, being controlled.
For that matter, let's remember that she experienced hallucinations and disorientation as the result of an allergic reaction to the tatoo dye in "Never Again". So, even if she *did* sleep with Ed Jerse (I'd still prefer to believe she didn't, but I guess there's no way we'll ever "know" for sure) I'm not sure it was something she actually *wanted* to do.
