this ep kicked ass big style.

i guess the bits i really loved were CSM talking to Scully in the car, and his psycho-analysis of her. the 'powerful' men thing was something i hadn't thought of before, but i think he has a point. listen to that conversation again, scully's uncomfortable because (i believe) she knows what he's saying is true. we get to see scully and CSM really interact. is it fair to say its usually CSM and mulder?

I loved the fact we got to delve a bit into CSM. now i know my interpretation of this ep vastly differs from other on this board, but whether you believed in CSM or not, WBD really drew me into CSM, the character is magnetic to watch. plus he's put scully in a real dilemna, its the holiest of grails vs. mulder. the way CSM weaves scully into it all, and makes her trust him is fantastic.

plus i like separating mulder and scully. i think you learn alot more that way. the scene where mulder can't/won't look at scully in the doorway blew me away. again, my interpretation differed wildly as to why, but aren't you just waiting for him to lose it? but he doesn't, he just seems to remain calm, we never really get to see inside his head there and that drives me crazy. if i could write fanfic, that would be my ultimate post ep fic.

en ami did something for me that most MOTW don't. it recognised XF history and took advantage of the MSR, it pushed a little forward a felt. (even if it wasn't in a good way) WBD really knew his stuff, and it impressed me anyway! it played out so nicely as a stand alone, but left questions opened - is CSM a reformed character, or was it all just BS?

i dunno, does this make any sense? i know what i mean, i just can't express it. it was just a very powerful true-XF ep for me. it had what i like!
