That was an episode that I was always just so-so about at best. But a few weeks ago I watched some of it again and I really liked it more than before. I decided it was very well put together with an interesting x-file. Never mind the shippy stuff but that was fun too. And there are some great moments in it. DD played it very well. I love the part when Scully asks Mulder who's going to give Holman dating advice. "Mulder when was the last time you were on a date?" Mulder: "I will talk to you later." I love when he gets his crackley voice. :-) They should have ended it there though and not had Scully add the last comment. I thought the guy whp played Holman was good too. If they had recast the Shiela role it would have been nearly perfect.

I like most of the light eps. X-Cops, Jose Chung...they're all fun. I know I'm forgetting a couple favorites. I love The Unnatural and I like Dreamland but they had some very serious moments so I don't know if they're that lighthearted. I think I read somewhere that CC never wanted humorous eps on the show at all. Humbug was the first. Thank goodness Darin Morgan helped changed CC's mind.

More on Rain King but it's Season 9 spoilerish...

Spoiler Space......

I also wanted to say that, knowing what we now know about more recent events, Rain King held even more interest for me now. It's a good one to rewatch.
