So cool! Now I never denied sexual tension between M/S, I just felt it shouldn't have come to them getting together unless it was the finale or something like that. As time went on, I decided it would have been OK but lets see them slowly work into it. Instead we got teasing and then a sexual encounter off stage. I would think this was unsatisfying to noromos and shippers alike.

The motel room scene had Scully become sympathic to Mulder after all his weirdness and crazy claims. I suppose theres a sexual undercurrent there but its more about 2 people communicating. The fact that she's in her robe and it doesn't come off like one would expect in many another type of story is a credit to CC. He should have never said "never" however, and its obvious he got infected by the shippers with all that teasing starting in the movie and S6.

Now inspite of Mulder's jokes and his need to believe outlandish stuff, both of them had that professionalism of career oriented people in those early eps especially. So the thought of a relationship didn't seem in he offing in the early years. I recall the hand holding at the end of Pusher as the first time I thought that they had more than friendship in them.
