The FBI does seem to have the ability to keep their activities quiet. They can claim national security or the danger of exposing ongoing investigations. But M/S are not typical FBI, if they were they'd be part of a 50 person taskforce. The higher ups might let stuff slip in order to make them look bad, etc. OK maybe its not such a great plot idea.

But I couldn't help but wonder, after the movie seen in Hollywood AD came out, didn't the public then know there was such a division in the FBI and that M/S were the agents in charge? Jose Chung had changed their names and perhaps didn't have full clearence from the parties involved so he had to fictionalize the events. I suppose the movie guys also didn't directly say this was a true story but someone in Hollywood was aware of them and M/S were at the premiere so someone could make the connection.

We have also seen Mulder at a UFO forum in Patient X, he's known in the UFO community since people like Max Fenig seek him out. I'd say he sounds high profile and not one invite from Ted Koppel?

BTW, sorry I signed the guestbook 4 times. Is it possible to cut three of those out? the last one was the one I wanted.
