Plus I think it was foreshadowing into the idea that secrets were being kept from Mulder and Scully. As they came to learn later, it wasn't really them as the government but them against the government.

I think Mulder did want to trust Scully but I don't think he was there yet. He was still susicious of her. Even though he was drugged up I think he was still doubtful of her when he yelled at her about her "lttle notes."

IG when are these first season eps on there? I don't think they're running them here.
