I thought it was kinda bland. M & S hardly got involved in the action and its too bad the budget couldn't allow scenes in the space shuttle. Wasn't there a cop show called Houston Nights? My cousin lived there for awhile, its in eastern Texas is it not? Almost Louisiana? So I can imagine its not desert. I remember a Dogget ep set in the Boston subway last season and saw the bright, new, shiny LA subway stand in for the old beat up bean-town trains. When the show is in someone else's town, who cares about acurracy but when they do your town and get it wrong, grrr!

One glaring problem with "Space", the mission control lady twice saw the alien face thing and Scully should have seen it once and yet no discussion of it. They aren't even phased.

I think it was an oversight as Scully usually just barely missed seeing something that would prove Mulder completely right in the early years. "Shapes" was another example, a guy truens into a werewolf not 5 feet from Scully and she manages not to see it. Argh!
