I have to agree with your points. No matter how much I can't stand this character Tooms, there are all sorts of good things in this episode. I was surprised as well when Scully took the sandwich--I'm not too big on eating somebody else's partially eaten food either. AT this point in their relation ship though, I think she might be realizing that their relationship is more than just a professional one but Mulder maybe figured that out a long time ago.
