This was a pretty good ep. It was more of a classic murder mystery than most XF eps and I enjoyed that part of it. . .but Mulder and Scully were separated for most of it, so I didn't enjoy that so much.
Several questions/comments that have more to do with the first season in general than this ep in particular. . .
1.) Does anyone know if the decision to renew XF for a second season was made before or after "TEF" was filmed? It echoed the Pilot so closely I almost thought it had been filmed with the possibility of it being the series, rather than just the season, finale.
2.) When did the Lone Gunmen first show up? I thought we'd met them in this ep, but they weren't in it.
3.) There's discussion on the OT board about doing an XF marathon and watching all the eps from the beginning. Isn't that what we've *been* doing on this board for the past five or six months??
4.) If XF had been cancelled after the first season, do you think it would have still become kind of a cult favorite, inspiring fanfic and websites and reruns on the scifi channel? Or would it have simply slipped into oblivion?
