Subject: Answers to your questions...

Of course, if I were to follow true XF doctrine my answers would be vague, noncommittal and inconclusive. ;-)
Actually the first answer might be...

1. Seems to me I remember CC saying somewhere that Fox was worried that people would think the show wasn't coming back after that last scene in Erlenmeyer Flask and CC telling them than that they could just run promos all summer telling people it would be back. Or something like that. I don't know if they did.
From what I know though they did plan on a season 2.

2. The Lone Gunmen were introduced in "EBE" and Frohike said Scully was hot.

3. It was suggested that we revisit all the episodes, keeping in mind what we know about the outcome of the series so some comments may reflect that and it will allow spoilers for all 9 seasons. I realize that discussions still might be similar to ones here but who am I to complain if people come up with a new use for a board? :-)
This board will remain and will be, as you once suggested, for talking about Seasons 1-7 only--the "Mulder" years.

4. I think it might have had a small cult following. Aren't there tv shows all through the years that had very short runs but still have a fanbase? (Star Trek got cancelled after, what, 2 seasons?) It's doubtful that XF would have become the worldwide phenomenon it did though with just one season.
