Who I have only spoken to twice. He found out last year at someone's farewell party that I like XF. He asked me questions about it and of course I obliged to tell him stuff. His friends liked XF but had dwindled off watching it. Anyway we had a bit of a conversation about what I knew about the end of S7. Then in Dec 2000 at the bank Chrisssy party he asked me how things were going with the X Files and have they found Mulder? I couldn't believe that someone was really that interested. So I quickly gave him a run down of what i knew. We were walking up a cow track from the river surrounded by about 25 other serious bank people who think I'm utterly mad for likeing XF and talking about it on the net so I didn't prolong the conversation. One person asked what we were talking about and he said XF and they said "OH" in an odd way and quickly vanished into the crowd. XF has a kind of stigma here perhaps due to the internet connection and people like me who aren't ashamed to say that's what we do.

At the first meeting I thought this guy was just humouring me as were his friends but when he asked me about it at the Chrissy party I figured that he has the same problem as we do and just likes to talk about it but has noone to talk with. I thought he was just making conversation but there was a crowd of people and he actually sought me out to speak to. I just found it very unusual to find someone who actually wanted to talk XF when most people give me funny looks if I even mention that i like the show.
