She was indeed slow. It didn't strike her as odd that Mulder smoked, for example?

I think for Gillian, it must have been good fun - and challenging - to try and make her performance with Morris match her performance with Mulder. To try and have the famous rapport with a completely new actor, must have been very weird.

I still have total recall of Mulder's pained expression as he realised just what an appalling father he was. he couldn't even get his children's names right. The amusing thing was, Fletcher had such a bad relationship with his family anyway, they didn't twig it for a while...
