I think there should be a place for Scully to be passionate and a little 'unhinged'. Lets face it, she has a very stressful job and it isn't as if she 'parties' very often. I was more than happy for her to go off at a tangent with Ed and behave like a woman with strong emotions! She is often very repressed - or seeming so - with Mulder and (at this point in the story, at least!) there hasn't really been anyone who has really lit her fire. I know, I know, all you shippers will say Mulder lights her fire, and I don't disagree with you in one way, but come on - they don't exactly act out, do they?

So, my ramblings aside, I do like her losing her composure on these rare occasions, because it proves to me she can let go and loosen up. And if Mulder paid enough attention, he could see that in her too, if that's what he/they truly want.

Let yourself go, Scully!
