Subject: I found out why there was a BBC ep switch
In reply to: devlin 's message, "But we *love* the BBC! (in our dreams)" on 17:19:10 07/17/00 Mon

This is only a general description of the ep, but Agua Mala has to do with a hurricane and I heard the BBC pulled it because of some bad hurricane in Canada.

Canada?! I know Canada and England or still connected but it seems like a rather detached reason for changing an XF ep. Plus most Canadians have already seen all the eps through season 7.

Have you see The Green Mile yet? Doug was a real baddie in that one too. He also played a bad guy in a Millennium ep so I guess I only know him as a bad guy too. Some actors stick to the same type of role so maybe he likes playing a villain.

I definately don't think Scully did all the things in the author's mind but she did seem drawn to him. We see that when she has to go to his apartment to return the milagro charm. And she wasn't in a big hury to leave.

I think M&S's exchange about what was in the manuscript was a little embarrassing for both of them! It was a great scene though and well played especially by DD.

On the looks reacting to Padgett's comment, Mulder does glance slightly at Scully as Nic points out, but he ws afraid to really look her. And he wouldn't have glanced if she had been looking at him. I think it's their lack of reaction that is actually a big reaction in itself. I think they were both a couple of cats who swallowed the canary and were afraid to say or do anything. They'd been caught by an outsider! Maybe now they can't keep up this front any longer if it's so obvious to someone else. Their world where they could both just pretend everything is fine has been invaded. (Sorry for so much shippy injection Dev! ;-) ) If they had laughed it off or said, "Do you believe that guys's nerve?" or something it wouldn't mean much. The fact that they were afraid to move or really look at each other shows they both know Padgett is right.

Good idea on Padgett living his role by being heartless. I'm just not sure if he did it for real. He seemd to have kind of a sunken chest after hat part.

Well Mulder my no be "nrml" by generl srtandards but who's to say what that is? But frpom what we can tell, Scully doesn't do for normal anywya souldr may hve chance! ;-)
