Subject: Agua Mala - fairly Mala?

No, I wasn't too keen on this one. Even with all the guest actors, the wild and wet weather effects - it wasn't a very good story. I didn't actually understand the point, either, which is a bad sign. OK, the things that stood out for me: how the local law enforcement treated Mulder and Scully and how they reacted to that - some entertaining interactions in the car between them. The second thing was just how many medical procedures Scully got to carry out in a very short space of time: Tracheotomy (spelling?) , autopsy, childbirth - is there no end to this woman's talents? I always find it amusing how she (and Mulder sometimes) have to mention the fact that she is 'a medical doctor'. The third memorable thing is back to the asethetic - seeing Mulder wet throughout. I liked that.

Please someone explain about the washing machine and the cat. I was baffled. I tend to turn my back on MOTW plots that I don't find easy to follow and this was a complete mish mash. It was a bit like 'Ice' but inferior to that classic S1 ep. On 'Ice' the claustrophobia and psychological testing of each other went hand in hand. This failed to be tense, IMHO. Oh, yes, I liked Arthur Dales' contribution. I think CC has developed a good character there. I imagine he reappears in later eps?
