I totally agree that Scully's behavior was inexcusable as far as leaving a possibly dying Mulder in the hallway to deliver a baby. And that baby was born in like two minutes! I bet my mother wishes her labor was that quick!

Because I felt this episode was written so poorly I just disregard this action by Scully. Because we all know (as neurotic as I sound here), that Scully would never do that to Mulder. It was the writers, not Scully.

This wasn't the only episode that got Scully got criticized for being 'cold' to Mulder. She also got that flak in Arcadia and some others.
