I haven't watch this ep in awhile but I'm pretty sure Scully knew that Mulder had been hurt. She had to have because she was attempting to go after him when the gun guy stopped her. And according to triage procedure, in any situation with multiple injured parties, you are supposed to help those who are hurt first or are in the most need of immediate medical attention. I think Mulder's injuries which we knew from the other victims could result in death were far worse than a woman who had just gone into labor. Both the pregnant woman and Mulder were her patients equally. As SMH said, it's rare that the woman would deliver so fast. It does happen but even so I think it was Scully's head and not her heart that was wrong. Mulder should have been attended to first. If it had been the husband who was injured and out in the hall instead of Mulder she should have helped him first too.

Seems to me that trained FBI agents would probably use the triage method in this type of situation. So I still think it was all wrong! Maybe Scully did know and only the gun was stopping her but I think she could have taken that guy if she had tried which she didn't. JMO. ;-)
