I liked the sound of the Mulder and Scully are married undercover bit. In practice, aside from a several provocative comments by Mulder, it came down to a sort of envisioned cliche life. Whether this was the fault of writers without imagination or because Mulder and Scully themselves had to ham up their situation to avoid facing the awkward feelings which might have arisen - I don't know. I think I wanted more Detour style togetherness than the camp version we got. Maybe I wanted too much. I didn't think the story was very good at all, what with the ludicrous mud monster and the baddie being a sort of poor man's Christopher Lee. I preferred The Stepford Wives for humour and chills!

It wasn't my worst (that honour goes to Agua Mala, I suppose)

Tithonus just didn't have enough Mulder in it for my liking. It did provide that bit of controversy over whether Scully is immortal, but overall it wasn't too memorable,IMO. Does this explain?

Yes, I did feel better about 'Triangle' later, as it could be seen in the context of the whole series.
