Subject: Do you want even more Season 7 opinions, Devlin?

Because I have lots.

The best of the episode was by far En Ami. That's the episode written by WBDavis. The characterization was breathtaking and it was just all around well done. I have absolutely no complaints about this episode. Even though it was Mulder-lite, where he did appear he made the most of it.

Second best episode was Requiem. This is largely in part due to the fact that it is chock full of Krycek, back and sexier than ever. But there was more to it than that. It was full of emotions and plot twists and great characters. Every character that appeared was at his best.

My least favorite episode of the season was Hungry. It was just terrible. It was extremely Mulder and Scully-lite, and the supporting characters and the monster were unbelievable and un-likable. Blech. This one occurs early in the season, so don't discouraged when you see it, as I was. They get *much* better.

Another episode I didn't much care for was 'all things'. Most people totally disagree with me on this one, but I just couldn't digest it. I love Gillian Anderson, but the writing was full of cliches and I felt more like I was watching Gillian than Scully.

I did enjoy Duchovny's episode, though it wasn't nearly as good as The Unnatural. It had a few very cute parts though, which made up for the lacking x-file.

As far as MOTW's, I really liked 'Theef'. It had a really creepy bad guy, and seemed like an old school X-File to me.

Goldberg Variation, The Great Maleeni, Chimera were good, typical episodes.

I really enjoyed the Sein Und Zeit/Closure two parter. It was very emotional and very well done, in my opinion. I know some people hated it. The only thing that bothered me was that this was the two part mythology episode and it really didn't have too much to do with the mythology.

Overall I think Season 7 was very good. Better than Season 6, if I had to compare the two. They didn't focus as much on the mythology, I thought, which was unfortunate, and the lack of Krycek was a disappointment. But other than that, you really have a lot to look forward to!
