I felt as though I was *supposed* to like Phantom Menace a lot more than I actually did. I was almost embarrassed to admit that I was bored out of my skull for most of it. I love the Star Wars trilogy, but just couldn't bring myself to like the new one. Everyone else and their mom seemed to love it, though.

Same with American Beauty. It won all these Oscars and everyone loved it, and I was like, "I'm supposed to get all worked up over the most dysfunctional family ever?"

I loved Jerry Maguire, though!
