Subject: All Souls - S5 - Queries for discussion....

Who can explain why suddenly the story of the seraphim and the nephilim was re-enacted in 21st Century Washington? And also, how come Scully was not comforted by the thought that Emily was resigned to leaving her and that Emily's soul had gone 'happily' to heaven? All that her confessional revealed was that she felt bad at not 'saving' any of the four girls? In both the case of the girls and her vision of Emily, they seemed to embrace the angel that came. Yet, Scully remained heartbroken. It seemed like a story whose aim started out with one aim - to help Scully get over the death of Emily - yet ended without providing her with any comfort after all. What do other people think?
