I agree with you on most parts actually. CC wasn't sure what to do with the Fowley character and she wasn't used as well as she might have been. I wonder if she was just brought in because Mimi Rpogers was DD's friend. Even so, CC should have had a better plan! And Jealous!Scully was a bit odd but was it really out of character? Scully seems to act this way anytime someone else dominates Mulder's time. Phoebe, Bambi, the dog lady, Krycek when he was Mulder's partner...So why does Scully behave this way? Is she that possessive or what?

I thought her reaction toward Fowley was in keeping with that and I think she felt even stronger about this instance because she knew Mulder was much more involved with ths woman. She may have thought she was only jealous of Diana because of her past working relationship with Mulder, but I think deep down she also felt a personal jealousy and she didn't like that about herself. Maybe Scully didn't care for her own behavior anymore than you did! :-) But IMO the jealousy was there.

My saying she was justified was because I wonder if Scully sensed something evil in Fowley that Mulder was clueless about. Even if Scully's jealousy act came off a bit petty, it resulted in her being wary of Fowley's intentions. I think Scully was right not to trust her and believe that DF didn't have Mulder's best interests in mind.
I don't know if he was ever going to reveal her to be Mrs. FM. That may just have been a rumor and never he actual plan. FS did say somewhere that Mulder's marriage would be explained but I never heard from the 1013 camp that it woud be Diana. Frankly I'm glad they dropped it and I hope we never hear about Mulder being married again!

Season 7 Stuff:

The way it is played out in Amor Fati we do get an inkling that Mulder may have considered restarting things with Fowley. Or was that all just planted in his mind as part of M's manipulative dream? My thought was that Mulder did have thoughts abpout Fowley because that was the easy path and he was getting tired of the chase but mayve he never felt that way. I think that was in Fowl One's plan though. She wanted to get Mulder under her control.
