I think Mulder assumed that Scully had sex with Ed JerK!!!!!He wasn't happy. He also wasn't happy about the tatt either. That was before he found out about the cancer and it seems he never let it bother him after that because he knew Scully was not herself.

Scully, on the other hand would be upset to know that Mulder had a one night stand while she was abducted and wearing her necklace to boot. Shame shame shame , Mulder. I think Scully would be hurt to find that out now as she has the idea that he constantly searched for her during that time. I think alot of her trust and devotion is partly based on that knowledge that he was so devoted to her and the search for her. I know he went to Antarctica to get her too but it all adds up and I think the search for her while she was abducted and his will to bring her back to him and from her coma is something that Scully holds very dear. I hope she never finds out about that encounter with the Vampire. Even though an excuse would be that Mulder was feeling lost and wanted to drown his sorrows.

I can think of a way that it might be brought up again in S8 but I won't discuss my theory here. I hope she never finds out.
