In recent years, in the UK, our series have started being shown in longer and longer runs. 'Casualty' is a good example, and 'Peak Practice' and quizzes like 'Family Fortunes' and 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire'. It is as if to say that people who watch TXF will get fed up, or something! Casualty bores the pants off me, but I don't complain about it, because I know it is popular and people seem to like it being on for a long time. What is the difference with our favourite progamme? I believe it has to do with the BBC not wanting to over-promote imported series. They also probably hate that TXF has a first run on Sky One. It's sour grapes.

If S7 is shown in the autumn, I'll eat my S7 boxed set (when it comes out!)
