ITA with what you said about how they tried to put in too much. I think part of that feeling comes from the fact that all the major revelations were made in a relatively small part of the episode(s). Well, not small, but you know what I mean... There could've been less of that "CSM tells his story" stuff. To be honest, I thought some of that was a bit of a waste of time. X-Files for Dummies it was called, eh? Well, I can't say I completely disagree with that.

Despite all that, I enjoyed watching this two-parter. There were plenty of interesting things in it, and it certainly wasn't bad, although I agree with you that there have been better myth-arc eps. What I liked about these eps is that although they gave us some of the answers we've been waiting for - and a very spectacular ending (of the syndicate) - there are still many questions left, and many opportunities for new stories.

I also liked seeing everyone back. It was nice to see what happened to Marita, I didn't think we'd ever hear from her again. Krycek is everybody's favourite villain, isn't he? I particularly liked that scene with Spender at that Syndicate member's house (what's his name?). I felt a little sorry for Spender in the end. I don't think he was really a bad guy, just misguided. I've never trusted Fowly, but it came as quite a shock to see that she was the one CSM had been talking too.
