Subject: I have always described myself as...
In reply to: detoured 's message, "Fencesitter? I always thought you were a complete noromo! Are those shippers getting to you Dev?!! nim" on 01:32:16 08/10/00 Thu

...as a noromo, who keeps leaping bodily up on the fence. What makes me happy is when I see a genuine character development which makes sense. I don't look for Mulder and Scully 'getting it together' - in fact,I'd prefer if they were always just very close, emotional friends - but when a good scene leads them in ways that make their friendship seem to have endless possibilities, I do feel CC is entitled to allow them to grow. Any kind of traditional coupledom for these two would be disastrous and we know they will never become like that. Don't we???? On the one hand I loved the HWS, but I also know in my heart of hearts that they are *very* different people. 'Kinship' and 'soulmate' are my favourite words when I think of them. Hope that explains any perceived inconsistency in my view. Gosh, just think, what if I'm up there on that lofty position on the top of the fence one day and I lose my balance and end up in a deep sea of shippers! Gulp!!!
