Subject: anyone still Hungry? - (S7 spoilers)

finally got round to posting some S7 thoughts, although 6th extinction/amor fati is still evading my second viewing at the moment!

anyway, i got to see hungry last night, and i was just wondering what the general feeling was. i actually quite liked it, although amor fati is still my favourite so far in the series. all three eps of it. :) i did think it was a strange choice for the first stand alone ep though, especially as it was quite mulder-and-scully-light. well, quite mulder-light and very scully-light. maybe i'm seeing that wrong after 2 very strong myth eps. i just thought it was an odd choice since the focus of the whole plot was centred on rob (or was it bob? would you look at that i've forgotten already! :p ) it isn't very often they take that tactic, in fact, (and i can hear the intake of breath!) it actually reminded me of terms of endearment in that respect. but in a good way! so it was kind of like terms with a good plot. but it was a bizarre way of looking at an X file.

i think the other thing that bothered me was the lack of closure. i loved the bit when rob (ok, i'm gonna call him rob, for arguments sake) took off his disguise and we actually got to see him, that was a total surprise to me. but i never got to find out what he was, what had caused it etc. it seemed like this deformity had just come out of no where.

but i don't want to sound negative, i did love it. in fact i'm totally enthusiastic about S7 so far. it looks really promising. and i thought hungry was a great concept, and to my memory (which granted, is not great) was original. it had some great touches, like the mulder lookalike, which (i admit!)i thought was mulder at first, and the characters at the burger restaurant. (i think thats maybe because they remind me of people i know!) and also the way you weren't sure who was the 'murderer' at first.

hmmmmm, thats all i can remember for now!

millenium next week - is that the same order you got? i'm sure it didn't come 4th. i thought maybe sky were just a little too over excited! :)

cvl :)

hey det - LA 7 - starts on thursday! whoo-whoo! :)
