I really didn't like this one and not just because there wasn't much Mulder and Scully. Vince was asked to write an M&S lite ep and this is the best he can do?! I didn't even pick up on it being from the monser's POV. I thought the whole show was badly done.
And the monster was so uninteresing. I didn't think the guy who played Rob did a veery good acting job and I just didn't care about him at all. I think with a great monster even if he's a vile creature there has to be something about him that holds your attention and draws you to him. I was bored with this character.

And why did Rob seem to have this eating problem just recently? What was going on before?

I agree the psychiatrist was pretty stupid. She should have been on her guard more and sensed the danger. And I also totally agree about the eating disorder meeting. That was one of the worst scenes ever on The X-Files. It went on and on with Rob talking about food. Were we supposed to think that was interesting television? It was in very poor taste and if it was meant to be humorous it wasn't at all funny. Vince let us down with this one. He could have come up with a really a compelling character. We know Vince has created some great ones like John Lee Roche from Paper Hearts and Eddie van Blundht. Rob was just lame.

And if we had to have an M&S lite ep why couldn't we have a Skinner centered episode--or a better monster!
