It seems like in every season there is one episode where, after it ends, I sit back and say "Well, there's one hour of my life I'll never get back." Hungry was this episode for me. (Previous episodes have been Terms of Endearment and Travelers)

I thought the psychiatrist was an imbecile, and very badly written and acted. The monster wasn't scary, he reminded me of Powder with fangs (ever see that movie Powder? That was weird). And, like you Sleep, I really disliked the portrayal of eating disorders in this ep. I know it can really just be chalked up to typical XF stereotyping, of which we've had plenty in the past season. But this one particularly got to me for some reason. Maybe it hit a little closer to home since I've had friends who have dealt with it, I don't know.

I did have one good thing to say about the episode. By showing so little of Mulder we got to see how he appears to other people. Even though Mulder seems a little crazy to us we at least (sometimes) get to see his thought process as it evolves. Now it seems like every time Mulder appears he has some new crazy thing to say and we have no idea where it came from or what he's talking about. It was amusing and gave us some insight.
