Subject: The title wasn't even funny.

And obviously it was supposed to be. Why that title for an episode that wasn't funny or even cute?

Everyone's just about covered TOE. Wasn't hard huh? I can only add a few comments.

I didn't like the lackadaisical manner in which the infantcides were handled. Much too ghastly to be just sort of glossed over. I too, thought of how Scully would react and was disappointed the writer missed an opportunity to use it.

I couldn't even understand Wayne. An evil demon wanting a "normal" or "good" child?? Since when? Whatever for??
And an evil female demon wanting the opposite?? Oh, wait, maybe it WAS supposed to be funny...

I didn't really like Mulder in this episode. I agree with whomever discussed his acceptance of this demon when he won't accept other religious issues. He may believe in his own spooky way such things exist, but he wouldn't have accepted it so readily, so unassumingly. I disliked how he totally latched onto Wayne as a demon harvester instead of "just" a murderer. I also thought he was unnecessarily rude to Wayne. How'd he figure it all out anyway? Maybe I missed something.

About Mulder's controversial statement. You present a very good argument, SanFranPhile! Very nicely done. But regardless of whether or not the rest of us took it out of context, it was bad writing in that it distracted us ALL from the episode, IMHO. It was totally unnecessary. Perhaps we were supposed to take that statement as how uninteresed he was in the case..?? He did seem to just sort of just do the motions here.

I liked Spender in this episode, too. I loved the continuation of his dislike of all things XFiles. very nice.

Loved Mulder in the convertible! grrrrrrrr Detoured, you have a picture of THAT?!

oooh, detoured, I have to disagree with you about the shredded document scene. Although it did have a "cutsy" factor to it to me, I thought it was more important in that it was a nice continuation of the Mulder from The Beginning. Painstakingly piecing together his precious XFiles. I love it that he is not just sitting back doing nothing but going through Spender's trash! yay, Mulder!
But it was overdone, I guess. Surely he would have made a good copy of the document instead of carrying around the taped together original.

I still am holding out that Alpha is the worst of S6.
