You will see more of this writer I'm afraid! Ouch! But he does improve vastly in Season 7! If John Shiban gave him tips would the devil have been attacked by a bunch of sewer kitties? LOL I kid JS. I've actually defended him in the past because I think some fans are too hard on him.

Funnily enough when I first saw this ep I didn't like it but then it grew on me and I thought it was OK. And then I didn't like it again. Wishy washy a bit, I know. but my final opinion still stands! I think my liking largely only came from it being the first "regulr ep we'd had for awhile after ll the comedic/bizarre ones in a row. That was the reaction of many people. It got some fairly decent comments but I think it benfitted greatly from episode order. People were hungry for a more traditional X-file. Did that affect your opinion at all? It doesn't sound like it!

Interesting idea on the psychologist line. As I told SFP above I'd have to hear how he read the line again. He just seemd tired when he said it. Maybe DD purposely put it in to see if us obsessive philes were paying attention to the story.

As for finding good, well as mentiuoned before we all seemed to like the Spender inclusion and I also liked seeing the continuity showing Scully doing a background check. As this seaso progresses were genuinely being given the feeling of what M&S are dealing with now that they are off the X-Files. The whole "working in another office doing grunt work" scenrio is the strongest and most consistant bit of continuity we've had in a long time. Maybe since the first time they were taken off the files at the end of S1/beginning of S2.

I really like these little touches such as finding out Mulder is so protective of his files that he raids the trsh and still manages to work on cases he's not supposed to. We get a good sense of them being unhappy with their current situation.

There, how's that!? TOE's good points!
The Old Episode gang's namesake is redeemed! Sort of. :-)
