Is everyone shocked silent about Rain King? I'll start with my own thoughts then;

I liked the episode because it was a lot better than the previous one. My favorite quote was Scully's reply on the phone when Mulder told Holman was asking him about dating advice. I actually wrote it down but typically lost the paper, so nevermind, you all know what I'm talking about anyway. :-)

>Her stony-face reaction to
> Mulder telling her that he was giving Holman dating
> advice was funny, although I imagined her sitting
> there helpless with laughter until they cut back to
> show her real reaction.

That's what I was thinking about too!

I also loved the way Scully was talking about best relationships being based on friendship (oh, we all know what/who she was talking about!), but especially because that's very close to what I think on the subject as well.

I guess I have a few complaints though, one of them is the way how the episodes of the season have been focusing on the guest characters so much. I don't really care if Holman and whatshername live happily ever after (and how can they do a year after ending in the episode, when a year hasn't gone yet? well, at least wasn't when this aired in the States, right?). And did they leave all the good, gloomy guest star actors in Vancouver, or what's with these happy Californian actors who make all country people look like stereotypical hicks from nowhere?

I forgot what else I was about to say, so I'll be back later... ;-)

Cookie of the week.
