i know we've all said it again and again, but *i hate the bbc!* does anyone know what they've taken it off for?

re: the rain king - sorry - still don't like it all that much! it did improve on second viewing but i felt like it only had a few good points worth mentioning. namely, IMO, the interaction between mulder and scully and the points discussed above. apart form that, there was alot i didn't think very much of.

my biggest *thing* was definitely sheila. i thought she was totally overacted and was just unbelieveable as a character, especially in TXF. in fact, come to think of it, i thought all of the characters were OTT. did i miss something? was that the point?!

one other awful moment that sticks in my head is the scene where M and S are at the dance and are swaying to see what is happening as that bloke (can't remember name!) tells sheila he loves her. i just never would have pictured mulder and scully doing that. at all. :P

and likewise with scully and her friendship making the best relationships thing. was it really necessary? scully, (correct me if i'm wrong) has never come out with anything so blatantly obvious. were we supposed to think that she wants a relationship with mulder?

i know i've been a bit critical! i actually didn't think it was as bad as i've made it out to be, and like i said, there was some good stuff in it. like mulder's broad smile as the mayor mistook scully for his wife, and his hurt look as she told him that mulder had been vague. :) and mulder giving relationship advice was truely funny! and believe it or not, i can still think of some other good moments! so i reckon i'm kind of 50:50 on this. undecided. i'll just sit on the fence and see what you all think. :) (maybe i should just call myself the contradiction queen) :)

but BTW detoured - i still found the baton twirling girl funny - i just don't know what it was about her! :)

cvl :)
