So that you won't think that I'm a terrible spoilsport, I will confess here that I loved the beginning of the How the ghosts stole Christmas episode. I loved the whole conversation between M and S in the cars, and I thought it was just so sweet of Mulder to steal Scully's car keys to make her follow him into the haunted house. Though I think that eventually she would have followed him in anyway! The ending was very cute too, the first time I saw the ep was in November, and it really made me look forward to Christmas myself!

There were lots of great scenes in the episode. But here I come to all the buts again. I didn't feel very comfortable watching the episode, and last week while re-watching, I was almost looking for the remote to fast forward some of the scenes. I'm not sure if I like the way other people are trying to analyze the relationship between our favorite agents. (Sure, we do that all the time, but that's different! ;-) Sometimes when it happens, it's fun, but I feel we've been getting way too much of that this season.

What bothered me most was probably Scully's behaviour. Why would she be scared in just an old house like that? She's not supposed to believe in ghosts and such, so she certainly shouldn't be creeped about the possibility of finding them. Allright, entering illegally in another people's house isn't exactly the thing she had planned for the evening, and it would be creepy for anyone who wouldn't really want to be there, but she's an FBI agent and she shouldn't care.

I can't believe Chris Carter made her so out of character in the episode. He should know better. :-( Everytime Scully is screaming, it does make at least me want to think it was just all in their heads and nothing really happened.

Oh well, that was just my opinion. Merry belated Christmas to everyone!

Cookie of the week.
