Subject: I just thought it was cruel to make Mulder sad right in his face!

Yes, I accept Mulder maybe does have this sadness that's pointed out, but he went out to a haunting and got a bit more than he bargained for. I don't wish he hadn't heard these things - just it further highlights the life he leads. I just felt sorry for him, is all. :( I don't like seeing him sitting there with his head in his hands very much. OK, serious stuff in the Reduxes and sadness about Scully being ill - but to have Mr Pop Psychology on at him. Let him alone, you big bully!!!!! I must have been in over-protective mode when I watched this (both times). And you're right - it helped M & S to see themselves more clearly. I laughed at them in the last scene when they were both spouting stuff the ghosts had said, but they looked really confused, even as they said it!

Yes, there is a definite rift between Mulder and his mother. Most people would make the effort to get in touch at Christmas. But I expect very little of Teena. I don't like her (as you know). If he was sad with Maurice and Lyda, heaven knows what his mother would do to his fragile psyche.

So *this* is Season 6. Don't worry, det, I'm bearing up well. All the episodes so far have been worthy of debate - likes and dislikes, goods and not-so-goods but so far none have been BORING! That would be worse than being eccentric.
