I feel a lot more comfortable with HTGSC, since last Wednesday (and Saturday - I have to watch the repeat!). I mean, I have decided there are some nice memorable quotations and good interactions with M & S. Particularly the beginning and the very end. I will look back at it as one with some flaws, but not *fatal* flaws.

You're right that M & S didn't react much at the time, to the psychological stuff being thrown at them by the ghosts, but they did take some notice, as their admissions at Mulder's apartment showed. They seemed to have taken on board a couple of important points 1. Scully is in denial about wanting to spend time with Mulder 2. Mulder is a bit full of himself and he can ride rough shod over Scully's feelings sometimes. Good things to discover.

No I reckon Scully would not thrive if she settled down. Her life is nothing if not interesting, with Mulder's strange obsessions. If she allows herself to be dragged around at Mulder's whim (figuratively!!), then she must want to be. It isn't against her will, really, is it?
