I hadn't heard that was the reason GA was hired. What I'd read was that GA was Carter's only choice and he really had to fight for her because they wanted someone more like Pamela Anderson rather tha Gillian Anderson. I think the fact that she and David clicked together so well was just a bonus that CC was very glad to get! Well that's just what I read, I think in the ep guides. Maybe that's not the real deal.

As for the therapy sessions. Seems to me I heard those reports around the time that David was dating Tea Leon. There was reported to be a lot of tension between GA and Tea at that time according to tabloids (hmm, I wonder why? ;-) ) and it was reported that DD and GA were to go to therapy sessions then becasue they were fifghting more. I may have that info all wrong or maybe the tabloids have it all mixed up with what DD said. But everything I read about the early days was that they got along great and we've even heard more recently that they went out to dinner at least once. I won't comment on other rumors about their early relationship. ;-)
