Subject: Terms of Endearment - Oh dear....

I take back all I said against any part of 'Triangle' and 'How the Ghosts Stole Christmas'. These eps were gems compared to the very dull 'Terms of Endearment'. I didn't even understand the plot! It had a very scarey opening, with that wild and crazy devil apparition but those SFX were about the best thing in it. If I summarise the plot, can someone make sure I grasped the point: Wayne, the every day devil kept on (marrying and) impregnating women in the hope he would eventually produce a baby which didn't have those tell tale devil characteristics. When these mothers and babies let him down, he killed them. But, he met his match when one of his wives was more of a devil than he was and actually wanted a demon spawn. Is that right?

I was interested in one thing - we found out just what Spender does with the 'on-spec' XF cases which come across his desk. He shreds them. This bit of plot development was the only scene I enjoyed. OK, Mulder was on screen, too and thank goodness for him. I had to resort to Mulder ogling to see this weak plot through to the end. Did anyone enjoy it more than me?
