Detoured, it's damn hard to try to make a comment without goofing up and revealing spoilers knowing what we know now!!

I have to agree with your comment, devlin, about drama. The very fact we can hate or resent these characters proves how well written they are, too, to affect us. I have read where people think Fowley is too one-dimensional. I think it's more a vagueness instead to make her mysterious. You know, as in the mysterious woman from Mulder's past. And conflict makes for good drama. Umm, I have to keep censoring my thoughts!

As for drama, where do you draw the line in this case of the past ex showing up with obvious intent to reclaim Mulder? Do you feel the series will become too "soapish"? That more focus than necessary will be granted to a Mulder-Scully-Fowley triangle instead of to xfiles?

As for Spender, do you think he will be a threat to the xfiles? What do you think his purpose is really?

Ooooh, man, have you got some interesting things in future episodes..

... hum, that's not exactly a spoiler, is it?
