i really can't say i've noticed a huge change. i thought in the beginning, the emphasis on the sun (in the opening scene) was supposed to be part of the whole 'alien wants heat' thing. and in drive, they were supposed to be in California. but i can see where you're coming from, it isn't as gloomy and dark as it used to be. as an ex boyfriend of mine used to tease me whenever i watched TXF 'somebody turn on the light!' (i dumped him BTW)

i never thought that crump wouldn't make it - it was a nice twist for me. mulder did seem to be a bit pessimistic didn't he? or maybe he just didn't like the guy.

oh, and dev - heres a few hints for you! you'll get to see what spender does with his XF in a later ep, and next week is some classic stuff between scully and kirsch.

did any other british viewers read the crappy review for next week's ep 'triangle' in the daily mail? i don't think the authors a fan.........

cvl :)
