One of the best things ever on the show! Ascension was very gripping, I thought. TXF has the reputation where the middle installment of a three parter is the weakest such as The Blessing Way and Redux which I thought both were a bit bland in parts but not Ascension, IMO.
The Host and Squeeze/Tooms were all really good.

I didn't like 3 because I just didn't give one hoot about those people and their problems. I didn't care about that girl at all. And not because Mulder slept with her. There have been other women on the show who I wouldn't have minded if he's slept with (not Phoebe though!),. But I thouht it was boring. I don't really like vampire stories so that has something to do with my disinterest too.
