Subject: I loved Scully at the FBI!

That was my favorite part of the episode, I think. Scully doing whatever she could to get to Mulder, running away from the people at the FBI like she was cutting class and had to keep ducking teachers! Going to Spender and Kersh just went to show how desperate she really was. I admit going to Spender was a bad idea, but she didn't know what else to do. And that scene did produce two of my favorite Scully lines ever.

"I want you to do me a favor. It's not negotiable. Either you do it, or I kill you."

and

"I don't care what you have to do, or who you have to do, or who you have to grease..."

I also really liked the scene of her on the elevator, the other women giving her amused looks, making fun of her. I mean, you alway imagine that Scully gets made fun of at the FBI, but here we actually got to see it.

As for the Skinner kiss, that caught me so off guard! It cracked me up to no end. I loved it, absolutely loved it. Scully's pure joy at being able to find Mulder combined with her mind racing pursuit around the federal building results in her being so relieved that she grabs Skinner, without even knowing what she's doing, and plants one! Classic.

I liked everything about this episode really. The cinematography (is that the right term?) was great, I especially loved the split screen, it reminded me of that SemiSonic video, Closing Time.

Oh, but how about this? When we began to see all of the Nazi counterparts, I waited in eager anticipation to see what role Krycek would play. We had every other bad guy, where was he? Needless to say I was pissed that he wasn't in it. But that's really my only complaint.

I never really decided if it was indeed a Wizard Of Oz-esque dream or if it really did happen. Doesn't really matter to me, because either way it was entertaining.

Oh, and did anyone else find it the least bit amusing that in the hospital scene at the end Skinner brought Mulder flowers? Hilarious.

SMH
