Subject: cvl's tardy triangle review!!

sorry, the schoolwork couldn't be put off the last few days, so you'll have to excuse anything i forget, and anything thats not 100% accurate since most goldfish have better memories than myself.
ok! i was kinda surprised at the split reactions down there!
i cannot tell you enough just how much i *love* this ep. just love it! it is totally going down as one of my all time favourites. i wasn't actually going to watch it wednesday, since i had it on tape, and i've been really tired lately, so i thought ok, 5 mins cvl, then thats it. instead i lasted the whole ep through!!
for me, the music totally *made* the ep. i thought it was great, especially the music accompanying the fight in the ballroom scene/TLG and scully scene. and also, the camera work with the long shots that went 90 degrees around the corners even when scully was in the fbi scenes. the split screen shots also worked well for me, and i thought the two scullies as they passed was great!
as someone else pointed out, there were some great one liners. i would also have to single out
'not much to apologise for, for the next 50 years except maybe the spice girls' - mulders not a fan then!
'great!' 'i don't see you doing much better'
and 'i think i know what he said'.
skinner shouting at scully outside the lift, scully slamming the door in skinner's secretary's face, scully basically telling skinner what she thought of him when he wouldn't help, the english sailors 'oh well *i'm* convinced!' at mulder's theory, i could go on and on and on.....
and as for the captain 'i'll not let go of this wheel' - just where was he supposed to be from???!!! it wasn't my neck of the woods!
i just loved the balance between 1939 and 1999 in this ep, i thought it was great from start to finish, it totally kept my interest the whole way through. as for the kiss, - i thought scully punching him was a great touch, and mulder's comeback too. the oh brother also kept it from going to far into shipper teritory! but i did love mulder's broad smile at the end as he felt the bruise on his face.
and to whoever posted about skinner's flowers - ITA! i never would have thought skinner was much of a flower's type of guy!
well thats all i can remember for now, but i think you all get my point! :) sorry if i went on a bit, the enthusiasm overwhelmed me! just you all wait till next week. i'm a big fan of dreamland too..........

cvl :)
