That thing about the 'ghost ship' was weird to me too. First, if you say 'ghost ship' you mean (surely) that it has mysteriously reappeared from the dead. This ship was meant to have been sunk with the loss of all hands! A bit more reaction than "It's just a ghost ship" would be expected. Plus, it was a weird ghost - it had all the lights on and it was under full power, sailing along. How come? Why didn't Scully and the LG end up in the same place as Mulder (back to the dream theory!)

The German speaking was a bit pointless. Quite often, we have on screen sub-titles to translate foreign languages, so why not in this case? It wasn't secret conversation, Nazi CSM telling his men to shoot all the time, was it?

I agree cvl, who was the blond woman? I will watch the repeat tomorrow and see if I can suss that out. Whoever it was did seem to make Mulder react. I have a confession here: I never even saw Skinner. I only heard Mulder say "Help me Skinner" or something similar. If Skinner *was* there, I think it very interesting that while present day Skinner was refusing to help Scully, 1939 Skinner was refusing to help Mulder. Toeing the line again Walter....
